Mu Leonis

Star: Mu Leonis (Rasalas). In the constellation Leo.

Chemical Components: Mostly hydrogen, then helium. Rasalas is one of the most prominent "super-metal-rich" giants. Astronomers intensely argue the exact numbers, but all agree that the star has a significantly higher metal content than does the Sun. The best estimate describes an iron content about 70 percent greater than solar. A significant overabundance of Na and Al was discovered too.
