Habitat:  dry fields, ditches, and open areas

Seasons: May to October. It is a biennial plant; it blooms its second year.

Uses: Used as a nerve tonic, to treat indigestion and diarrhea, worm infestations, gas, kidney stones, and as an aphrodisiac. Notorious for being a method of contraception for centuries.
Mashed and mixed with honey to create a poultice for open sores. Infusion made for internal treatment. An oil can be made from the seeds and the leaves can be ingested for digestion problems.
