Habitat: Found in Europe, western Asia, and North America. Thrives in hot and humid climates.

Seasons: Blooms late spring well into fall.

Active Chemical Ingredient: Azulene and Apigenin

Chemical structure:

Uses: Used to pack wounds as a functional antiseptic, lessens pain, prevents infection, and stops bleeding. Roots pounded and used on skin for dermatitis. Mashed root as toothache. Excellent insect repellent from ticks and fleas, as well powdered to treat the bites. Anti-inflammatory and soothes irritated skin.



Ground and powdered leaves used. Mashed root. For cuts, fresh yarrow packed.
